Missions
The heartbeat of a church is its mission to the world. Mission is who we are not something we do. One of our BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goals) for the next five years is to contribute $650,000 to an Acts 1:8 strategy for bringing the gospel to our local context and to the world. Sabino Road Baptist Church continues in its context to fully support the Great Commission through the Cooperative Program (CP) of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Around the world, we help support over 5,100 overseas missionaries and about that many missionaries in our own country and Canada. A church-approved percentage of undesignated gifts is divided between our various mission endeavors. This means our missionaries are not required to raise their own salaries. Besides our full-time missionaries, lots of opportunities are provided for short term missionaries such as two or four years.
Local Missions
The church supports several local mission agencies including Caring Ministries and the Catalina Baptist Association. We are also involved in Arizona Baptist Children’s Service which provides help and hope for hurting families and children. We also are engaged with the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention.
Internationally, in addition to our support of the CP through the SBC, we also partner with the Bolivian Children’s Fund to advance educational opportunities for children in Bolivia and Wycliffe to help make God’s Word accessible to all people in the language of their heart.

You may engage in the mission in three primary ways:
PRAY: We provide opportunities to pray in a variety of venues. You may call the International Mission Board at 1-800-395-PRAY to receive updated prayer requests. Missionary Moments prayer opportunities are available as well.
GIVE: Your regular giving continues to support the ongoing mission of the SBC. In addition, special offerings for Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering provide ongoing ways to support missionary endeavors.
GO: Mission trips supporting World Changers and other mission endeavors are available as well.
