Purposeful Protection

Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer in John 17:6–16 is not a request to pull you out of a hard world. It is a prayer to keep you in it: guarded through faith, secure forever, and sent on mission. God does not protect you so you can hide. He protects you so you can live as light. You belong to Him first — not to your sin, your title, or the world’s mold. Fan of Jesus is not the same as follower of Jesus. Isolation won’t reach anyone. Assimilation won’t change anyone. “I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.” —
